Friends Dedicate Lincoln Statue

The Friends of Lincoln State Park dedicated a life-size statute of Abraham Lincoln carved out of sycamore by local chainsaw artisan, Willy Loper, on Saturday, April 19th. Click here for more on this story.

Friends Host Community Bands, Maestro Joseph Choi

The Friends of Lincoln State Park hosted the Spencer County Community Band, Newburgh Old Dam Band, and Owensboro Community Band for a Memorial Day weekend concert on Sunday, May 25, 2008 with guest conductor Maestro Joseph Choi.   More

Friends Open Online Gift Shop

The Friends of Lincoln State Park are pleased to unveil the official opening of our new online gift shop! We now offer for sale Lincoln State Park hat pins, magnets, hiking medallions, and postcards. Pins, magnets, and medallions are $4, postcards are $1. We also have prints of a Jerry Baum watercolor painting of the Historic Huffman Mill Bridge in Spencer County. Each print is numbered and costs $35 each unframed.

Lincoln Boyhood Drama Association Hires Executive Producer

The Lincoln Boyhood Drama Association recently announced the hiring of Steve Wright as executive producer for the Lincoln Amphitheatre as they continue to plan for the staging of an all new Lincoln play at the amphitheatre in 2009.   For more information on the activities of the Drama Association click here.
