From left to right: Foundation stone from the original 1816 church, grave marker of Abraham Lincoln's sister Sarah, the church as it appears today, a block in the foundation of the present structure, the original Little Pigeon Church constructed in 1816, and the second Little Pigeon Church built in 1879. Abraham Lincoln and his father Thomas helped build the original cabin in 1819 and the family occasionally attended services there.
